Accommodation Vejer location in Costa de la Luz in Spain
Vejer de la Frontera lies in the heart of Andalucia, in south-west Spain

When to go
The best months to visit Vejer de la Frontera are June/July and September/October because the average daily temperature ranges from 23-27degC.  August is the busiest and the hottest month with temperatures of 30-35degC. Outside the traditional holiday period, Easter is a very popular time as the local residents celebrate in style with many street parties and traditional bull runs through the streets. From late March to May, the temperatures are very pleasant and - this is what makes it special for me - the fields are lush and green and full of colourful wildflowers.

Car hire
The cheapest car hire is through www.carjet.com but be aware that they charge you for a full tank of petrol and expect you to return it empty if you are staying for 5 days or more. So if you are going to use less than a tank then they are not a good deal. Also make sure you reply to accept the booking, otherwise the car will not be booked! Hertz are partnered with Ryanair and all the usual suspects are available from Jerez airport.

Flights from the UK
There are direct flights with Ryanair from London Stansted to Jerez de la Frontera (a little less than one hour from Vejer de la Frontera).
Spanair flies also from London Heathrow. Alternatively, you can fly from Gatwick, Luton or Manchester to Gibraltar (a little over an hour’s drive from the town) with Easyjet, Monarch or BA.

Flights from the rest of Europe
Ryanair flies from Frankfurt to Jerez de la Frontera (a little less than one hour from Vejer de la Frontera). In addition Spanair flies from the Sweden, Germany, Austria and Switzerland to Jerez de la Frontera. Air Berlin flies from Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria and The Netherlands.
